Being on reality TV can give you the blues. Need proof? Check out "Jersey Shore" star JWoww, who according to her ex-boyfriend Tom Lippolis, tried to kill herself shortly after the show premiered in late 2009.
"She called me up crying that she had swallowed a bunch of pills," he tells RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. “I rushed home, offered my support, and basically talked her out of the bathroom, because she had locked herself in the bathroom. And I basically got her through it.”
Lippolis says the reason why JWoww was down was because of how she came across on the show.
“She was upset how (negatively) she was portrayed on national television,” he says, but also added that her guilt about cheating on him with Pauly D during the first season of the show also played a role.
He speculated that the prescription pills she swallowed were Vicodin.
