Demi Lovato spoke with candor about her eating disorder in a recent interview with Seventeen. The road to fame and stardom isn't always paved in gold, as her emotional and physical struggles landed her in rehab treatment facility for almost three months. Here's what the 18-year-old actress/musician had to say about her battle with her disorder:
“But I will deal with it for the rest of my life because it’s a life-long disease. I don’t think there’s going to be a day when I don’t think about food or my body, but I’m living with it, and I wish I could tell young girls to find their safe place and stay with it.”
Lovato added, “I allow myself a lot of freedom and I’m very peaceful now.”
Props to Demi for having the courage to speak on such a delicate issue. We're sure she'll be back in the mix in no time.
