Lindsay Lohan is Going To Trial

No plea deal. That's the word on the street today, as TMZ has learned Lindsay Lohan will take her felony grand theft case regarding a $2,500 stolen necklace to trial.

Linds reportedly met with her lawyer Shawn Holley Tuesday afternoon, where he gave her the options she had regarding the case. Lindsay proclaimed her innocence, and was all like, "fuck that, see me in court!" No, not really, but we sure hope it went something like that.

The preliminary hearing for the case is set for April 22nd, and will be heard by Judge Stephanie Sautner. Lindsay faces jail time if the judge decides she violated her probation, and an elongated prison sentence should she actually be convicted.

Word is that if Lindsay accepted the plea, she'd have gotten three years probation. This chick can't stay out of trouble three weeks, let alone three years. So it was probably good she have that option the finger.

Her defense in the case is that she thought the necklace was being loaned to her. California is a pretty chummy town, especially when it comes to celebrities. We could see it being a big mix-up that the jewelry store— Kamofie & Co.— looked to take advantage of after the fact. It's not like this hasn't been good promotion for the store. They're on TMZ like, what, every freaking day?
