Complex's new weekly feature "Who's That Girl?" spotlights an up-and-coming woman we've got our eye on.

Tonight, Melrose Place returns on the CW with sexier new episodes amidst rumors of cancellation. Despite the network's attempts to bring back classic characters like Heather Locklear's Amanda to draw viewers, the show's ratings still slipped. But honestly, we think its 'cause producers, 'til now, had failed to appreciate who they already have—Jessica Lucas.

The 24 year-old French Canadian/Haitian/Pakistani actress made her debut in the Canadian hit Edgemont and went on to appear in numerous dramas including 90210 (with our girl Jessica Stroup) and relatively low-key films such as The Covenant. The girl's been on the block for awhile now, so we decided to look back at the 5 clips that made us take notice of Jessica Lucas...

ACTING SHADY IN SECRETS OF A SMALL TOWN (2006)
• Although the over-inflated budget of the ABC pilot caused it to never be picked up, this clip still gives us the chance to see Lucas play one of the sketchy teens involved in the murder mystery surrounding fellow CW actress Leighton Meester's character.

HITTING ON AMANDA BYNES IN SHE'S THE MAN (2006)
• Before you picture girl-on-girl action, let's just remind you that the film is about a chick playing a dude. That said, here's a clip of Lucas getting a love tap from that dude.

TAKING PHOTOS OF AN ANT-INFESTED CORPSE ON CSI (2007)
• Like every actor and their mother, Jessica also had a stint on a crime-scene drama. Her four-episode arc as Ronnie Lake got message boards pleading for her to become a regular on the show.

GETTING CAST IN CLOVERFIELD (2008)
• No one knew what to expect of Cloverfield, given the obscure advertisements for the eventual box-office hit. Needless to say, had the casting directors actually passed on Lucas, audiences would've definitely been more disappointed than they already were. She almost made us forget about the movie's obnoxious found-footage "camcorder" style.

GETTING PROPOSED TO ON MELROSE PLACE (2009)
• In the remake, Lucas plays Riley Richmond, an elementary school teacher/newly scouted model who's about to take the next step with her longtime filmmaker boyfriend. But, it wouldn't be a CW drama if she hadn't hesitated to answer his proposal and eventually cheat on him with a suspected murderer.
