Do you recognize the girl being photographed up there in that photo? No? Look a little harder—past the clothes and press hounds... Come on, son! We know you know that's Asa Akira! The 25-year-old NYC born, Japan-raised adult film star has only been in the game for a couple years, but she's made a hell of a lot of noise—and not just in the bedroom. So much so that this year, she was nominated for three AVN Awards including Best New Starlet and Best Actress. To document the momentous occasion, our cameras followed Asa around on Saturday, the day of the awards. Yeah, it's a tough job, we know, but we're glad to do it...
8:00 AM: Wake up!
"I woke up, got ready for the convention. It wasn't a hard wake up for me because I went to bed super early. I don't drink or anything, so I don't really go out a lot. I like to work out in the morning, so that's a big part of me not wanting to go out at night."

9:30 AM: Getting Dressed For The Adult Entertainment Expo
"This year, Evil Angel gave us all our outfits. Each day, I wrote down what we're all going to be wearing, 'cause we're going to be matching every day. Today we wore tube dresses, half of us in black, half of us in red, because the Evil Angel colors are black and red. Someday's we'll wear like, a baseball outfit, other days it'll be like, booty shorts with fishnets. "

10:30 AM: Head to the Adult Entertainment Expo

11:00 AM: Arrive at Adult Entertainment Expo for Press Interviews
"I hate doing press! When I got into porn, I was like, Oh my God, I'm going to fuck for money, that's hot! I get to have sex for a living. But there's all this other stuff that goes with it. But I've come to love it because you're getting recognized for something you're good at."

"The company I went to the convention with this year, Evil Angel, is great. It's owned by a couple and the woman runs everything. It's just a really cool company. And they know we get burnt out—by the eighth hour we're like bitches."

11:30 AM: After a Quick Outfit Change, Asa Begins to Autograph Photos
"This year I'm only signing four hours a day. My favorite thing in the whole world is when someone comes up to me and they're like, 'You're my favorite!' Or like, 'I jerk off to you so much!' I love that! Because that's what I think about when I'm shooting—that someone's going to jerk off to this. "

1:30 PM: A Longtime Fan Gives Asa a Homemade Gift
"These people kind of know the rules, so they don't say or do anything too crazy. But this one dude came up to me with this plastic cut out of a photo of us that he took at another convention. I thought that was pretty cool. Some people come with photos printed out, but that dude had to go get that made! It looked like a trophy!"

4:30 PM: Asa Goes to Get Her Hair and Make Up Done for the AVN Awards
"I pick the gym over getting my make up done, so I did my own make up this morning, but I usually get it done for shows. "

7:00 PM: Asa Arrives at the 2010 AVN Awards Red Carpet
"All this stuff is really new to me, like walking the red carpet. It's weird. It's kind of fun, I guess, I'm starting to get excited about it. Yeah, I'm pretty excited. "

8:00 PM: Accompanied by her Boyfriend, Rocko, Asa Heads to the Stage to Present the First Award
"Rocko's up for performer of the year, and that's like a really big award. That's like when you've been in the game for a number of years. And I think he'll win. "

10:00 PM: Asa Kisses Angelina Valentine On Stage.
"I'm really flattered to be nominated for best actress and best starlet in the same year, because that doesn't really happen. All the other nominees for best actress are girls that have been in it for years and years. So, I'm pretty excited. I'm just excited to be nominated. Even if I don't win, I think it's cool they noticed I did a girl job. Out of thousands and thousands of girls and movies, they picked mine. I think that's cool."
