Age: 23
Occupation: Performing Arts student @ CUNY/Painter/Freelance stylist/Fashion Scout's assistant...I'm an unpaid maverick.
Home Base: BROOKLYN :)
What's your guilty pleasure?: Black & Milds...Fashion Week broke me again.
Dealbreaker for a guy/girl: If he's too shy or too pushy. I like balance.
What is your go-to drink?: Detox from tSalon. It's loose tea and I have the cutest heart-shaped steeper. That, with lots of honey in my fave mug, is bliss.
What is your best/worst date?: Best: Summer '06 going to 14th Street for Jamba Juice on a whim and then watching the drummers in Union Square park all hugged up.
Biggest turn-on: Openess/affection/intellect.
Biggest trend turn-off on a guy: A guy who doesn't have a mind of his own.
Favorite rap song of all time: "Bitches & Sisters" by Jay-Z. LOVE YOUR SISTERS.
Keep reading for more info on Alisha...
Shirt: Vintage Menswear
Pant: H&M
Shoes: Jeffery Campbell
Favorite sports team: Philadelphia Eagles.
What inspires your style?: Life inspires my style—fashion, mood, surroundings. I take everything in (I secretly call myself a processor).
What city has the best style?: Brooklyn: There are so many cultural influences, it's a fun place.
Who has wack style?: Any person who wear brands and labels from head to toe. I don't give a damn what brand it is, or how expensive it is. It's tacky.
What trend do you want to see die?: The "I'm better than you" mentality. That trend needs to die NOW!Â
Last clothing item you purchased: A couple of men's shirts from Uniqlo. Â
Most money you ever spent on a single item of clothing: $480 on a pleated trench from London.
Favorite website: Theybf.com
What's the item currently in your closet you most regret buying?: Dolce Vita lace-up boots. I wore them once: The heel sucks big time. I walk too heavy.
What do you see as the next big trend?: Bald-headed women! It's the utmost means of exuding confidence in one's natural beauty and so liberating. Lots of girls are nothing without hair.
What is your favorite city?: New York City.
What is your dream job?: Successful and P-A-I-D in all of my passions (fashion, painting, acting). I dream BIG!
Who is your dream date?: Cliché but Kanye West. He obviously likes to talk and so do I. We definitely wouldn't run out of things to say.
Last book read:The Female Brain by Louann Brizendine, M.D. Very interesting. Patiently waiting for The Male Brain. [Ed.—Pause!]
What is your trend-proof style advice for our readers?: Me 'n' my BFF have a saying: "Wear your clothes, your clothes shouldn't wear you." Figure it out from there.
