Food and sex go together, and not in a 9 1/2 Weeks-kind of way. Some foods act as fuel for your sexual appetite, while others will kill it. According to Elite Daily, foods and beverages including hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, mixed drinks, sodas, bar food (wings, nachos, etc.) and ice cream are sex drive-killers. These foods increase your glucose levels, which make you tired and, therefore, useless when it comes to sex.

Conversely, these foods will give you sexual superpowers. Okay, not really, but they're good for your sex life: Walnuts; beans, legumes and seeds and Mediterranean foods. On the benefits of the latter:

The Mediterranean diet as a whole helps women with metabolic syndrome have better sex—better overall desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction, pain. It also helps men overcome erectile dysfunction (ED), also known as impotence. One third of obese men with ED cure their disease after two years of following a Mediterranean-style diet and exercise regimen.

You learn something new everyday. Take this advice and act on it—immediately.
