A recent study shows that many of the leading brands are still lagging behind on the practice of engaging with followers on Twitter.
A study from Simply Measured shows that 98 of Interbrand's top 100 brands tweeted at least once daily during the final three months of 2013. By comparison, the average company tweeted 12 times. Furthermore, more than half of the leading—54 percent, to be exact—companies tweeted less than once a day.
During that three-month span, Interbrand companies sent 68,000 @'s, half of which came from Pizza Hut. This has made the pizza giant "one of the most engaged brands on the list," per Simply Measured.
Never underestimate the power of social media.
