The NYPD is trying to get to the bottom of four empty beer cans discovered inside of the 47th Precinct station house on Jan. 10. Officials have gone as far as to request forensic experts to look for DNA and fingerprints. Seriously:

Chief of Detectives Phil Pulaski’s Inspections Unit summoned the scientific firepower about two weeks ago, after they were informed that Budweisers were found in a wastebasket and refrigerator in the 47th Precinct dormitory, where officers catch a few winks while waiting off-duty for their next shift to start, sources said.

Granted officers are prohibited from having alcohol inside of police facilities,  but is this really worth getting to the bottom of?
