Yesterday, authorities announced that five men had been arrested in Thailand for attempting to smuggle 100 kilos of 99 percent pure North Korean meth into New York

According to the New York Daily News, an indictment says that Alexander LnuAllan Kelly Reyes PeraltaScott StammersPhilip Shackels and Ye Tiong Lim "worked on a deal involving methamphetamine said to be from North Korea," and that its "ultimate destination was New York."

Lim reportedly bragged that he was the only one able to secure the meth, while he and Reyes Peralta set up a test of delivery outlets prior to the shipment by sending tea leaves from the Philippines to Thailand. All five of the men will be prosecuted at Manhattan Federal Court.
