A marijuana farmer in Grants Pass, Ore. who thought he was getting over by having more than three times the permitted number of plants on his farm was busted, all thanks to Google Earth. Curtis W. Croft was reportedly heard telling friends about the extra plants he was growing on his property.
Investigators from the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement Team took satellite pictures and noticed rows of plants. Because the site did not update regularly, they sent a small plane to take pictures to take pictures and make sure the plants were still being grown.
Craft, 50, was only allowed to grow 30 plants. During a raid of his farm, 94 were discovered. He was arrested on drug charges and released.
