If it's expensive to live in New York City, it's naturally going to be expensive to find a hotel room there, too. Especially if you're looking to stay at the best of the best. At $40,000 per night, the Four Seasons Hotel's Ty Warner Penthouse is the city's priciest hotel.

To its credit, the amenities are stunning. The suite offers a personal butler on call 24 hours a day, gorgeous views on Manhattan in all directions and bathroom sinks made from solid rocks of crystal. Guests are also treated to a personal driver to escort them in their choice of a Rolls Royce of Maybach. That's the life that everybody asks for.

Of the city's ten most expensive hotel rooms, the cheapest one costs $10,000 per night (a two-bedroom penthouse at the Trump SoHo).
