Yesterday, New York City released images and plans for Essex Crossing, a Seward Park project that will offer 1,000 housing units across 1.65-million-square-feet. Half of that will be affordable housing available to low to middle income residents. Essex Crossing will also include an Educational Alliance school, 250,000-square-feet of office space and the Andy Warhol museum.

Most important of all, Essex Crossing is expected to create 1,600 jobs and another 4,400 construction jobs. The space is expected to open below 96th Street in Manhattan in the spring of 2015.
