Redfin already knighted San Jose, Calif. as already the city with the fastest growing market for housing sales. Now, they're saying that its the least cost-efficient place to raise a baby. Based on factors such as housing, childcare, healthcare, energy and baby necessities, San Jose earned the real estate website's top spot among the most expensive U.S. cities for a baby's first year of life. 

According to Redfin, the average cost of a baby's first year in the U.S. is $26,000, with childcare and housing accounting for the bulk of that money. At $41,600, San Jose is way above the average, and more than $32,000 combined goes towards housing and childcare.
