For some white collar crooks, life in the slammer is nearly as breezy as it is on the outside—save for the whole being incarcerated thing. Wall Street ripoff artist Raj Rajaratnam is reportedly kicking his feet up at Federal Medical Center Devens in Ayer, Mass., his home for the next 11 years after being found guilty of conspiracy and securities fraud. He's living on the facility's penthouse, which is typcailly reserved for the sickest prisoners. He also reportedly has a manservant.

In an article published today, the New York Post's John Crudele claims that a "gentle giant" by the name of Eddie got himself transferred to Unit P3 after making friends with the 56-year-old Rajaratnam. Eddie is apparently responsible for pushing all of the prisoners relegated to wheelchairs. Crudele's source also told him that Eddie wants to continue being Rajaratnam's personal Fonzworth Bentley when they get out of jail:

He became enamored of Raj, and Raj started talking about how much he once paid his chauffeurs. Now Eddie wants to be Raj’s driver when he gets out

He spoils Rajaratnam in other ways, too. Eddie cooks—er, reheats food for him using a microwave when Rajaratnam doesn't feel like going to the dining hall. At this point, he might as well start styling his hair to make sure Rajaratnam's Big Worm-esque waves stay in place.

The residents of P3 have televisions, adjustable beds, private toilets and a shared balcony. Their doors aren't even locked, though the Post notes that hardly any of the doors at Devens are. So why the hell isn't Rajaratnam living in general population? Medical records turned over to the court during his trial reportedly showed that he has diabetes and may need a kidney transplant.

The founder and one-time hedge fund manager of the Galleon Group isn't even the most notable inmate at Devens: Mobster Johnny "Sonny" Franzese and Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzokhar Tsarnaev reside there as well.
