Digital Maps Break NYC Down Using Tax Information

Digital maps can make the most mundane information—like tax data, for example—interesting. Andrew Hill and CartoDB have crafted maps that break down tax lots in all five borough of New York City and made them available for your viewing pleasure. These maps reveal information about the height of the New York City skyline (assuming the number of floors is equal to the building's height), the number of residential units per tax lot and when current buildings were built.

Don't be ashamed to have a nerdgasm over this. We won't judge you.
