Arizona Woman Caught Trying to Smuggle a Pound of Methamphetamine into U.S.

Last week, a woman was caught trying to smuggle a pound of methamphetamine from Mexico into the United States in her pelvis. Yuma, Ariz. native Claudia Ibarra was arrested at the Port of San Luis when customs agents realized she was packing a little something extra in her nether region. A black package of meth wrapped in condoms was surgically extracted from the 31-year-old's body by a doctor.

Authorities say that Ibarra attempted to cross the border on foot and alone. After being taken into custody, she was handed over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
