Flatulence Prompts 911 Call in Michigan

Sometimes, farts are crimes, but that doesn't mean they should lead to 911 calls. The concerned resident of a Clawson, Mich. neighborhood called for help after hearing a female neighbor yell "‘Stop! No!’” Her cries were followed by a loud, constant noise.

Police arrived quickly, but only to discover that the woman was a victim of her boyfriend's repeated farts, not domestic violence. “It’s quite often that we respond to things that have a funny twist to them—and this was definitely one for the books,” said Clawson Police Chief Harry Anderson.

No arrests were made.
