9. The Iced Coffee Lines Have No End in Sight

If you thought the pumpkin spice and gingerbread-flavored offerings of autumn brought them out in droves, you haven't seen anything yet. No matter how hard your local barista might try, most hot coffee-based offerings have that pesky taste of coffee, even if you drop a mound of whipped cream on top of each order. Iced coffee, however, can be made with 40% ice, 30% cream, and 10% coffee, so even the non-coffee lovers among us can get behind ( and stand in line for) a caffeine and calorie jolt.

Your local coffee shop (which, by the way, doesn't have air conditioning) will be packed with people waiting to rattle off ridiculously complicated drink orders and then bitch loudly when they hear their train go by several times while they are still waiting on their iced latte with extra whip and two Splendas. We would recommend making your own iced coffee, but you won't have time, because you'll stay out until 2 a.m. to avoiding coming home to your sweltering studio apartment with windows slightly too small to fit an air conditioner.
