Ex-NYPD Officer Plans to Open "Bikini Bar" Near Barclays Center

Retired NYPD narcotics detective Michael Bell has a new venture in mind. Bell is looking to open a "bikini bar" near the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to attract fans looking for revealing post-game fun. He describes the place as "Hooters but upscale and with alcohol," adding that the knowledge he acquired during his time on the force would keep the place from becoming seedy.

Though there will be no nudity, all staff members will be required to wear bikinis. Bell and business partner Renae Caeser have already presented the plan to Community Board 2 and hope to secure permits for a full bar and a cabaret license. Though an exact location has yet to be determined, spots on Atlantic Avenue and in Fort Greene have been considered.
