Would You Stay in a Relationship with Someone Who Shot You?

You know what true love is? True love is when you take someone back, even after they put a bullet in you. Yesterday, a Brooklyn couple decided to let the past be the past: 43-year-old Evelyn Barnave beat an attempted murder charge after her boyfriend, 59-year-old Randolph Costa, testified that she shot him by accident. He touchingly added that he still loved her. Though Barnave was still convicted of reckless assault, she avoided the most serious charge, which would have carried a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.

She can still be sentenced to anywhere from probation to seven years behind bars, but her man will stand behind her.
