Former Classmate of Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect Shocked, Says He Wasn't Just "Some Foreign Dude"

Former Classmate of Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect Shocked, Says He Wasn't Just "Some Foreign Dude"

The suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings have been identified following a late night shootout with police that left one of them dead, and now the media is scrambling for information about them. CNN anchor Don Lemon secured an interview with a high school classmate of 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, and the young manwho chose to remain anonymouscharacterized Tsarnaev as "a walking angel."

The surprised youth continued to speak highly of Tsarnaev, saying he was "an American as anybody." According to him, the suspect was the typical teenager; one who "goes to parties" and "smokes a little weed here and there."

Perhaps the most insightful moment of the interview comes when he tells Lemon that Tsarnaev was not just "some foreign dude." Because, of course, if someone parties and smokes with you, there's no way they could ever be capable of anything as heinous as what Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his older brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev, are reportedly responsible for.

Not like those other stereotypical foreign dudes, at least. How articulate. Anyway, the younger Tsarnaev brother remains at large.
