5. Failing to Read the Syllabus

Know that when you receive a document entitled "Syllabus", you enter into a contract with your professor. Nothing you need legal representation for, but something you need to take seriously. How funny would it be to discover that you've been dropped from a class because you failed to show up three times? Actually, that isn't funny at all. If you had read the syllabus, you would have known the rules and you would either be in class, or have your buddy cover for you. Read up, and save yourself the struggle.
