Save for a few inexcusably lengthy acceptance speeches and fashion mistakes, the 85th Annual Academy Awards went down without conflict last night. However, the night couldn't go down without at least one person getting arrested.
According to the Los Angeles Times, a man with a phony press pass managed to fenagle his way onto the red carpet. LAPD spokeswoman Norma Eisenman says the man was "on the red carpet, taking photos or something like that." The renegade photographer did get the full Hollywood experience, though—he was booked at the LAPD's Hollywood division.
Details on charges haven't been made available, and another man apparently snuck onto the red carpet, but was released after being interviewed.
