A garage fire erupted on Wednesday in Reseda when someone attempted to extract the THC from marijuana. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call around 5:19 p.m., and the department says the fire was "quickly extinguished" by the first firefighter to arrive.
However, the fire did reveal "suspicious contents" in the garage, such as an unspecified amount of marijuana. According to ABC7, the person was in the process of extracting the ingredient from the marijuana when the fire started.
The unidentified resident suffered minor burns and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. LAPD narcotics detectives are currently investigating.
