Andre Wechsler Says: "About a thousand years ago, Weihenstephan was founded by Benedictine monks; later it became the Royal Bavarian State Brewery. The Korbinian is a very dark-colored lager double bock with stout-like flavors. This beer smells so delicious and complex: dominant malt, caramel, coffee, and chocolate flavors. The taste is a little subdued compared to the smell: sweet and rich from the malt, some coffee and caramel aroma, but very well-balanced with bitterness from the hops."
