Thornbridge Hall Raven

Thornbridge Hall Raven

Where: Bakewell, England
Type: Black IPA
ABV: 6.6%
Available: Year-round
Website: thornbridgebrewery.co.uk

Samuel Merritt Says: "There's a bit of controversy over who invented the black IPA style, though it was definitely American brewers. This is a very bitter beer with fruity notes of pine and citrus, but also a big complex spiciness and a ton of roast. It's intense and bracing but very flavorful. Try it with creamy soups like cream of broccoli for a big contrast, or with flourless chocolate cake for harmony."
