Fuller's ESB (Extra Special Bitter)

Fuller's ESB (Extra Special Bitter)

Where: Chiswick, England
Type: Bitter
ABV: 5.9%
Available: Year-round
Website: fullers.co.uk

Samuel Merritt Says: "Some of the first American pale ales were inspired by this big, hoppy beer. I remember thinking it quite exotic when I was a young beer salesman. It's got big notes of pineapple, green apple, and pear, as well as a spicy, citrusy hop kick. Full-bodied and robust compared to milder English bitters, it goes great with a burger or lamb chop. It can also cut through a crème brulee nicely."
