Dieu du Ciel! Péché Mortel

Dieu du Ciel! Péché Mortel

Where: Montreal, Canada
Type: Imperial Stout
ABV: 9.5%
Available: Year-round
Website: dieuduciel.com

B.R. Rolya Says: "I first had this imperial coffee stout about 10 years ago at the Montreal brewpub on a frigid night in the middle of a snowstorm. I was so impressed by the balance and how the higher ABV was hidden behind the rich malt and coffee flavors and aromas. It's deceptively smooth for a 9.5 percent beer, and there's enough bitterness from the hops, the roasted malt, and the coffee to counteract the sweetness. I've since drunk it in spring, summer, and fall, and it still goes down smooth."
