The violence in Chicago has been well documented. Still, a fatal stabbing over Halloween candy remains difficult to process. 55-year-old Ledell Peoples was reportedly so angry over a missing bag of Halloween candy that he stabbed 49-year-old Maria Adams multiple times. He was arrested and originally charged with attempted murder and aggravated domestic battery, but the charges were upgraded to first degree murder after Adams passed.
