Forensic tests were released on Wednesday revealing that Trayvon Martin's DNA was not found on the grip of George Zimmerman's gun. Zimmerman was charged with second degree murder after killing Trayvon Martin in Sanford, FL back in February. Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty, claiming that he shot Martin in self-defense. Zimmerman's DNA was found on his gun holster, but forensic experts could not determine if Martin's DNA was on the holster.
Zimmerman claims that Martin was on top of him, slamming his head into the pavement and smothering him before reaching for his weapon. Zimmerman says he grabbed his weapon before Martin could and fired once, striking the 17-year-old in the chest.
