37-year-old Scott Smith was arrested at a showing of The Dark Knight Rises in North Ridgeville, OH, this past Saturday with a loaded Glock 9 mm handgun, ammunition clips, and three knives. There were more weapons strapped to his body.
Off-duty police officer and security guard Jeremiah Bullins became suspicious of Smith after he arrived for the screening a half an hour early. He followed Smith into the theater and asked him to open his bag, revealing the weapons. When he asked Smith why he was armed at a movie theater, Smith replied, "No problem. I'll put them in my car."
Smith, who is not legally permitted to carry a concealed weapon, was arrested and taken to Westlake jail.
