Who Would've Thought? Vending Machines Are Not Popular

First soda, and now this. Vending machines have become so unpopular over the last five years that even the Wall Street Journal took notice:

Traditional vending machines disappeared from 134,000 locations between 2007 and 2010, according to the latest available data from Vending Times, an industry publication. Sales from vending machines sank more than 11%, to $42.2 billion in the same period.

So does this really mean that Americans are tired of being fat, shiftless bastards? Not with the fast food champs are still raking in billions annually.
