Skittles Sales Rise After Trayvon Martin Shooting

In the wake of Trayvon Martin's death, two items have become iconichoodies and Skittles.

Sales for the candy have soared recently, presenting a problem for Wrigley, the company that produces Skittles. Aside from offering its condolences to Martin's family, Wrigley has remained quiet on the matter to avoid creating the perception that it's trying to profit from a tragedy.

Though a spokeswoman declined comment on the effective of Skittles's popularity on sales, many are calling for the company to donate money made since Martin's death to his family or a cause to prevent similar situations.

Should Wrigley take action, or continue to keep its distance from the situation?
