Man Writes Mother's Phony Obituary to Get Paid Time Off

There's nothing wrong with skipping work, but you have to be smart about it. A 45-year-old-man from Brookville, Pennsylvania wasn't, and now the grenade is blowing up in his face.

Scott Bennett drafted an obituary for his living mother in a dumb-ass attempt to get paid bereavement time off from his job. Relatives called The Jeffersonian Democrat to let the paper know the woman was alive, and she even decided to prove it herself by visiting the office.

The Democrat'seditor said he published the obituary for without doing any research because, well, who would lie about some shit like that? Apparently, it was because Bennett didn't want to get fired for taking time off. Where the hell does he work, and how long did he plan on accepting condolences for the loss of his mother?
