Desperation Reaches Peak in Quest to Get Free Chick-fil-A for a Year

Last week, a brand new Chick-fil-A opened in Hollywood, promising to give free chicken to its first 100 customers for a whole year. One day before the grand opening, people migrated to the corner of Sunset Avenue and Highland Avenue. When it was said and done, 175 people camped out overnight in exchange for one year of free meals at Chick-fil-A.

Richard Coley, who wouldn’t shock anyone if he had the Chick-fil-A logo tatted somewhere, flew all the way from St. Petersburg, Florida in a “special” tent that he has now used at 68 Chick-fil-A events. That’s dedication; they should just make him an honorary employee.

Coley, who’s apparently on award tour, will hit Utah on the way home for one final grand opening. He owns up to being a “fanatical, raving fan and supporter of Chick-fil-A,” but who knew fast food chains had groupies?
