Are There Sperm in These Cocktails?

The short answer: no. But the whole story is that French artist Prune Nourry will be setting up a mobile bar called SpermBar (fun website here) in NYC that will serve non-alcoholic cocktails that poke fun at consumer culture, especially where sex is concerned. From the artist's statement: SpermBar was "inspired by the commoditization of human reproduction and the ‘customer satisfaction’ culture."

Cristian Molina, of Rouge Tomate, is the mixologist behind the cocktails. SpermBar opens Saturday, September 17, at 78th Street and Fifth Avenue.
