We're not sure that the English language can adequately describe the relaxed poise of Devin the Dude. "Relaxed" isn't right. There should exist a word somewhere between "comatose" and "relaxed." Oh, and this imaginary word should also convey the ability to rap with a uniquely drawn-out flow, a kind of spacey detachment from the words that roll out of the speaker's mouth in between bilious exhalations of smoke.
Devin the Dude's trademark slowroll flow will be on display this Sunday at the Roxy in Los Angeles. He's from Houston, where slowness has been elevated to an art, but his fondness for greenery suggest Cali. Geographically, he's a tough one to place. Probably he makes the most sense with a mic in his hand, standing close to wherever you are, rapping. So put yourself in the Roxy; Devin will handle the rest.
