Arthouse Alert: New Doc "Brian Eno 1971—1977: The Man Who Fell to Earth" Screens Tomorrow (5/11) in S.F.

Though too few younger heads can speak intelligently about the heyday of glam rock and albums like Here Come the Warm Jets, everybody is familiar with Brian Eno's music in some capacity. For instance, have you heard the U2 album The Joshua Tree? Or Coldplay's Viva la Vida? Eno handled production on both. But tomorrow's screening in San Francisco is about the fruitful period before all of that. It's all Another Green World, Warm Jets, and working with David Bowie. No bald Brian Eno, either; we're talking about long blonde drag Eno, which happens to be our favorite Eno.

Brian Eno 1971—1977: The Man Who Fell to Earth incorporates live footage and interviews for a comprehensive, 2 1/2 hour experience. Edutainment. That's the word of the day.
