Plenty of MCs make shticks out of appearing hard, almost to the point where they cease to be recognizably human. Like so hood robots or something. Murs has always taken a different turn, making openness and vulnerability his strengths. It's hard to think of another MC who has rapped so convincingly about the day-to-day and made it seem just as urgent as dope dealing.
