Designed by local architect and professional skater Janne Sarrio, Micropolis is a street plaza and architectural wonder in the heart of downtown Helsinki. To the untrained eye it might not even look like a skatepark, but that's part of the award-winning design. It's supposed to fit in with the local aesthetic, not stick out like a sore thumb (which is unfortunately true of many skateparks).
