Go from zero to hero with this baseball superstars' effortless look, on and off the field.

Oh how quickly the tables have turned for Alex Rodriguez. Formerly the black sheep of baseball due to his steroid use, A-Rod now has a key to the city after helping the Bronx Bombers bring home their 27th championship ring. Besides retooling his public image, it seems Mr. Bitchtits has learned how to put a decent outfit together.

His look at the Knicks/Cavs game last week exuded a bit of effortless style. He kept it casual with nice denim, a bomber jacket, and a gray sweater. Then he added a touch of sophistication with the scarf and, for some reason, a fedora. It’s the first time he’s been worthy of a Complex style post (clap for him!). And since we still think he looks corny in anything but a baseball uniform, we also broke down A-Rod’s on field Yankee uni for all you true blue baseball fans. See below to check out how you can clean up like A-Rod…

You’re probably still debating over whether New York or Philadelphia has hotter girls (vote here), but there is a baseball series going on between both cities, you know? We kid. Of course you know. That’s not to say that you’ve been watching all the games though, no matter how sports savvy you try to act around your friends. In case you missed out, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys opened up Game 2 of the World Series last night with their NYC anthem, “Empire State Of Mind.” The boys in blue might wanna get Hov on the bill for all their games, because they walked away with the win. Watch the performance above.

Prepare for the next phase of the MLB playoffs with our predictions and left field analysis.

As promised last week, we’re back to bring you more Complex predictions for the 2009 MLB playoffs, just in time for the NLCS which starts at tonight with the Dodgers vs. Phillies (the Yankees and Angels start their tilt tomorrow).

Once again we’re taking the unconventional route with our predictions, basing them on the vital but often over-looked details, such as city life and intangibles like celebrity fan match-ups (Alyssa Milano vs. the Philly Fanatic). Let the statheads rattle their Sabre(metric)s about stuff like WHIP and which catcher is the best at blocking sliders in the dirt (ayo!); we went 3-4 in our first round predictions, so we’re sticking to our guns. Read on for our extensive analysis and check back in a couple weeks for our World Series preview…

MATCHUP: Yankees vs. Angels

ON THE FIELD: The Yankees-Angels series went 5-5 this season, however, the Angels remain the only American League team with a winning record over the Yankees this decade (50-41), and have made the Yankees their bitches a few times in the playoffs already (2002, 2005). Advantage: Angels

CITY LIFE: New York is known as the city that never sleeps, and although the Angels tried to gain some more recognition by adding “Los Angeles” to their team name in 2005, they still play in Anaheim. Which means all the city really has is 45 Carl’s Jr.s, three Benihana’s, and Disneyland. Advantage: Yankees

INTANGIBLES: New stadium, same mystique. The Yankees christened the old Yankee Stadium in 1923 with a championship, with the way things are going what makes you think this year will be any different? Advantage: Yankees

PREDICTION: Yanks have the better night life and same old mystique. Yeah the on the field stuff matters too, but they only lost that slightly…Yankees in 7.

Fans have been looking to come up off some free Bronx Bombers' memorabilia. Check out some other forms of robbery that's gone down in the House that Ruth Built.

Bases aren’t being stolen at Yankee Stadium anymore, but that doesn’t mean the thievery is over. During the 85-year-old ballpark’s final game, police arrested 18 people for trying to swipe souvenirs rather than pay some rich assholes for the right to own a Yankee urinal.

A private security team is going to protect the stadium from other would-be thieves now (like that’ll stop us). In honor of the fans’ five finger discount, after the cut Complex looks back at five great Yankee Stadium rip-offs. We’re stealin’ on ya!

 DAMN YOU JETER

5. Remember that time you brought your chick to the ballpark and suddenly she became a huge Derek Jeter fan? He banged her while you were buying beers. Thought you should know.

 PAVANO NEVER PAID OFF

4. Coming off an 18-8 record in 2004, free agent pitcher Carl Pavano signed with the Yanks for $39.95 million. In return he gave them stays on the disabled list with broken ribs, an elbow strain, a left hip injury and bruised buttocks (seventh inning stretch pause). For $500, he also sold them an HD TV box filled with cinder blocks.

 YOUNG’N IS A BALL GRABBER

3. In the 1996 American League Championship Series against the Baltimore Orioles, with the Yanks down 4-3, 12-year-old fan Jeffrey Maier reached over the right field wall and deflected a Derek Jeter fly ball'one that Tony Tarasco might have caught'into the stands. Though it was obvious fan interference, the right field umpire ruled it a home run, tying a game the Bombers won with a home run in the 11th inning. Tough-as-nails crime fighter (and honorary Yankee fluffer) Mayor Rudy Giuliani punished the young punk for his thievery by giving him a key to the city. Lesson learned: It’s OK to steal from losers.

 THERE WENT A-ROD’s PRIDE

2. In the 2004 American League Championship Series, the curse-breaking Boston Red Sox made history by taking four straight games from the Yankees to come back from an 0-3 deficit. The Sox not only stole the series, they also took A-Rod’s dignity when he tried to knock the ball out of pitcher Bronson Arroyo’s hand at first with a girlish slap. Heyyyyy!

 SORRY FANS

1. For Yankee Stadium’s farewell season, the 2008 Yanks stank up the joint and eliminated themselves from playoff contention well before the end of the season, robbing fans of a meaningful pennant race or postseason play. Even Shea Stadium is getting a better sendoff with the Mets playing a critical final home stand'and that place is an absolute shithole.

Sure, he keeps our plants soiled and looking healthy, but Pauley is also our resident sports expert around the Complex offices. As 'Plex's horticulturalist, Levine has long been known to drop insightful gems about sports and has solidified himself as our go-to when we're looking for answers concerning our favorite squads. In his debut episode, the watering-can toting superstar gives fans his outlook on New York baseball, including Giambi's mini-mustache.
NYC Garbage is selling trash collected at the final opening days at both teams' old stadiums.

The Big Apple's resident trash-pickers NYC Garbage hit up opening day for both the Mets and the Yankees this year to collect some rubbish memorabilia to commemorate the last, first game each team will play in their current stadiums. Sentimental collectors can expect to find anything from cigarette butts and candy bar wrappers to metro cards and parking tickets in the cube-y container. Both teams got a limited edition run of 20 capsules made, and they clock in at $100 each. Paying for trash? Someone call Eliot Spitzer.
