If walking around on the LES with your laptop on a Friday night desperately scouring for Internet hot-spots is too embarrassing, a new pair of Dunks will keep your status as a nomadic Wi-Fi hunter on the low.

Dubbed ” A Step in the Right Direction,” designer Stefan Dukaczewski has created this prototype pair that lights up LEDs within 150 feet of a Wi-Fi signal. To tone down the nerdiness of the project, Dukaczewksi actually got help on the techy kicks from established cool-guy boutique Ubiq. No word yet if these wearable sensors will be mass produced. Until then, feel free to continue stealing your next door neighbor's wireless.
