Happy greatest weekend of the year! Here’s some dork explaining how fireworks work. Might help you keep from blowing your face off on Saturday. [Gizmodo]
Kanye is shitting his pants with excitement right now. The Drake vid is killing it, his Louis sneakers sold out the first day and Murakami just made the Kanye bear in gold paint. Hopefully he’s going to rant on the humble.[Supreme Being]

Yep. Kanye interning at the GAP. And by interning, they mean “Also probably designing a collection for them.” Does that mean we might get another round of Spike Jones commercials when it drops? That would be awesssssome. [NY Mag]

Ah nuts! Nike Blazer Force 1. [Nice Kicks]
Here’s a list of things you should never search for on the Internet. Mainly, because they’re the most likely to contain virus-laden posts, but come on. If you’re typing this stuff into a search engine, maybe you deserve one (?).

WeSC Fall color story presentation
Fall? What about summer? Yeah, it’s tradeshow season folks, and that means that all the brands are gunnin’ hard for retailer cash and attention in hopes that they will be spending the paper they have left on the fall shipments. Last night WeSC hit up New York City’s Core Club for a presentation of its upcoming line and a sick dinner for key media, retailers, and brand activists including STASH, Tony Arcabascio (ALIFE), and Amy Gunther (KCDC). The new line combines innovative design, dope materials sourcing, and the brand’s signature attitude to finally lock down the bridge between streetwear and fashion that WeSC has been claiming since the beginning.
In addition to the color story previews and release of the new campaign images, we got a look at the brand’s lookbook, which includes upcoming collaborations with STASH, Marok, Kazuki, and Delta. See below for scans from the lookbook and an inside track on what the brand has in store for the second half of ‘09…

Mashkulture must have the in with Vans, fresh off leaking the Eric Elms' collection, the site just put up this Robert Williams x Vans Vault Pack that will release during Fall of 2009. [MashKulture]
Kanye West and friends joined a panel to judge the 2009 Wallpaper Awards. Wallpaper? Who cares right? Actually if you're into design you'll probably be blown away by the winners of some of the categories. [Wallpaper]
Visvim can takeover whatever game they want to. This time around the focus was making deck shoes way cooler. [Star-J]
Lupe's label Trilly & Truly get down with Swagger on two Varsity Jackets. Go Loopey! [High Snobiety]

Art Basel is going off right now, so what better way to celebrate the idea of Miami than with a beach towel by Ed Ruscha, crazy-ass Raymond Pettibon, or Jeff Koons? [Supertouch]
Remember a few months back when Aaron Rose was doing all of the Beautiful Losers stuff with Nike? The videos from the events just posted. Pretty cool. [Nike Sportswear]
New WeSC headphones just went on sale by Delta, Marok (Lowdown), and Kazuki. [Vagrant, via Hypebeast]
Does Barack Obama rock a Zune? Is it time for CHANGE? We HOPE not. [Gizmodo]
Oakley got those military contracts, son. Check out the new outerwear from its High Function line, on the way. [High Snobiety]

When it comes to streetwear brands throwing parties, WeSC knows how to do it. This coming Thursday, to celebrate its new partnership with Bloomingdales, the Swedish company will be throwing an in-store event at the midtown NYC store where guests will receive these LTD headphones, made in a run of 500 (not for sale) pieces. Following the cocktails at the in-store, the event will move on to Home in NYC where DJ Stretch Armstrong and the band Awesome Color will perform. Get up in there and get yourself some free shit!
Headphones will be a big push for the brand in the next year, when they will release special designs by We activists like Stretch, Ray Barbee, Amy Gunther, Jason Lee, Jussi Oksanen, Marok, and others. See closeups of the Bloomingdales ‘phones below…

WESC x Stash Windbreaker
Yesterday in Las Vegas, we survived the first day of the aisle-by-aisle debacle that is the Project Trade Show, sifting through all the bullshit to report on some key items from standout brands that continue to kill it.
Coming soon for Swedish street-fashion brand WESC is a multi-piece collab with Graf artist STASH. Incase is tricking out your iPhones with new metallic cases, while Pegleg is adding sophisticated cut and sew jackets as well as a pair of reverse selvedge denim to their arsenal of downtown steez. Check out a mini photo re-cap below…
