Music Honest To God R&B

honestrb.jpgMike Polk is blowing shit up with his internet-hit video “Ooh Girl!” He bills the track as an “honest R&B song,” with the comedian-singer gleefully serenading the ladies about his utter lack of talents in and out of the bedroom. Dude needs to get together with that other master of honest everyday lyricals and pull off a mock Jay-R.Kelly-styled collabo, but without the mace. Check out the behind scenes here.

Sports Video of Tiger Woods In Spacesuit Floating Around the Internet

tigerspace1.jpgWell, we already heard about Tiger Woods’ fake purchase of a $65 million dollar Hamptons mansion today, but we still don’t know what to make of this video that’s been circulating around YouTube of the golf superstar in a spacesuit, readying for liftoff, with the date March 20th scrolling across the screen (watch it after the jump). Of course, that is the start of the World Golf Championships at Doral, but we can’t figure out the whole space motif tie-in. With Tiger sweeping up last week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational this could be some ode to his otherworldly accomplishments but the question remains the same: who’s paying for it?

Politics & Crime The Daily Show Did the Best Job Roasting Eliot Spitzer

dailyshow.jpg
It’s so good that the writers are back to take advantage of the Eliot Spitzer hook-a-thon. They came in handy last night with this stupendously funny segment on the media’s OJ-esque coverage of the matter. But you can cash in on the real comedy gold at about the 4:06 mark, where they do this ‘Tainted Gov’ mock movie trailer for the disgraced governor, who doesn’t get officially replaced until Monday, which just happens to be St. Patty’s Day. Party time! But in fairness to all the late night comedy shows, Letterman’s Top Ten Eliot Spitzer Excuses from the other night is easily in running for the silver.

Rides News Trucks Race To and At the Scene

newstrucks.jpg

Check out this clip of two live news trucks'complete with antenna and all their gear'racing at a local drag strip in El Paso. The newsies were covering a story about a fatal drag racing crash the night before and figured'for god knows what reason'that it would be a fairly good idea for the competing stations to race the trucks on that same strip to the delight of crowd. Looks like CBS affiliate KDBC-TV beat out rival ABC affiliate KVIA-TV by at least a few car lengths. Read more about the media madness here.

Novosibirsk is Russia’s third largest city and apparently one of the hardest places in the world to board a subway. These ladies, undeterred by packed crowds clogging the door, decide they’re not waiting for the next train and attempt to board this subway car anyway they can, even if it means squeezing their ass through a window. Watch as these brave Siberian women band together and help each other claw their way in.

Style These Women Don’t Drag Their Heels

glamour.jpg

We don’t know how many twisted ankles this race caused, but watch as 150 women run down the streets of Amsterdam’s fashion district in their stilettos. Contestants were required to wear heels with a minimum height of at least 3.5 inches and run 380 yards as part of some sick annual race sponsored by Glamour magazine. And with prize money totaling $15,000, it’s no wonder they’re so ruthless. Fox reports, “At the start there was a lot of pushing, you really get elbowed over,” said Fauve Stukje, 18.

Design Terrifying Urinal In Japan Is Fun For the Kids?

urinal.jpg

Leave it up to the Japanese to turn the act of urinating into some sort of bizarre and marginally frightening carnival-like game. The fact that this kid friendly urinal was conceived and designed is one thing, but whoever decided to actually purchase and install it clearly has the issues.
