WHY WE COSIGN: Remember a couple years ago when you saw all those kids rocking those t-shirts with “Brooklyn” written in script? Those ubiquitous tees were the brainchild of brothers Jacob, Desta and Paul Parris, owners of one the illest streetwear boutiques in the County of Kings, Vinnie Styles. Suffice to say, they put on for their city. Since they opened the doors of their Flatbush Ave shop back in 2002, the store, which was named after their grandfather who was a tailor in Panama, has been supplying BK with not only the dopest wares from the most some of the sought after brands (Prps, Stüssy Deluxe, Blood Sweat and Tears, etc), but also sick product from their in house brand Paulie’s.
Besides the much loved “Brooklyn” tee, they collaborated with comic artist Brian Wood on their Count Sickle and Black Bart Simpson tees. But what good is cool clothing if the shopping experience sucks? At Vinnie Style’s, all three brothers hold down the intimate retail space, assisting customers with whatever they need and answering any questions the have. And things have been going so well they’ve just opened a second location down south, bringing their NY state of mind to Atlanta. But don’t take our word for it, just ask Fabolous. He’s thrown more than a couple pieces of their clothing in his bag. You should do the same.
