Vince Young isn't the first athlete to buckle under the pressure of the bright lights.

Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young is so troubled that his mom is copping pleas for him, saying he’s “hurting inside and out” and may not want to play in the NFL anymore. The psychiatric experts that are football analysts have been running wild ever since the fragile Young tried to remove himself from Sunday’s game because fans booed him for throwing two interceptions (he was coaxed back in and then got injured). Then on Monday, coach Jeff Fisher and family members called the police because he wasn’t answering his phone and they suspected he might be depressed and suicidal.

Has the pressure to be a star at the next level dropped Young for a loss? It wouldn’t be the first time in pro sports.
