The Brooklyn-based Serbian photographer spent a week in the Turkish city for his latest gritty photo book and t-shirt release.

Brooklyn-based Serbian photographer Boogie just released his second city series, Istanbul, through Upper Playground. The new collection follows on the tail of the Sao Paulo book, a similar collection of his signature gritty and invasive urban portraits.

For many photographers, a book takes years, but Boogie shot the Turkish city for 15 hours a day for a week, a technique that brought forth a portrait of the city and its inhabitants that feels surprisingly honest and entertaining in its street-level reality. Upper Playground will be releasing a T-shirt ($24) with the graphics and a 96-page book ($20) through their site. See more images from the book and the t-shirt below…

The 1992 Dream Team could never F with the tough-talent seen on this Upper Playground shirt.

Check out this upcoming t-shirt from Cali-based brand Upper Playground that shows some of film's most famous badass all playing for the same team. Included on the stacked roster of ass-kickers are Jean-Claude Van Damme, a mullet-rocking Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Lee, Jet Li, Steven Seagal, Charles Bronson, Chuck Norris and Clint Eastwood. No word on the release date yet, but we're guessing the shirt will drop sometime between UP's next two politically-charged Obama shirts.

UPDATE: Word from UP is that this shirt got axed in production, and was over two seasons old. The brand plans to drop a shirt with a new bad-boy roster in the future.

The Date Farmers catch Obamamania, release this limited edition campaign print to celebrate.

Fresh off the heels of last night’s debate, here’s some change you can’t Xerox. Artist duo and creative agriculturists, the Date Farmers, are releasing this hand made limited edition campaign print (300pcs.) in support of Barack Hussein Obama. They’re being peddled via Upper Playground and the ‘Farmers’ are promising to use all the proceeds to make and mass-distribute more posters throughout Texas, which is holding it’s primary on March 4th and could help determine the Democratic presidential candidate. The prints are are all signed, numbered, and selling for $200 a pop. One thing’s for sure, they’re certainly more progressive and hopeful than this piss poor attempt.
