You've seen our 100 best. Now take a trip down Regrettable Memory Lane with this stinkbox of programming.

Earlier this week, we dropped our latest mega-countdown, the Top 100 TV Shows of the 2000s. Which is all well and good, but the truth is that finding 100 great shows was a lot harder than you’d think. We did a little calculating around here, and it turns out that for every good TV show, there are exactly 81.37 horrible ones (more if you count cable news). By that math, there were 8137 terrible shows on in the last 10 years, so we’d appreciate a little gratitude for the fact that we just narrowed those down to the 10 most terribly executed, forgettable, execrable wastes of network money of the Aughts. Read on, and please, PLEASE don’t go looking for clips of this stuff. Well, except for the ones we dug up. There’s only so much a person can take…

And let’s give him an ensemble without any chemistry! And let’s let that guy who hosts the late-night talk show on Spike create it!

Happy Monday, snitches! It’s a new week, which means a new installment in Complex’s Best of the 2000s series. So far we’ve brought you: Top 100 T-Shirts | Top 100 Girls | Top 100 Albums | Top 100 Sneakers | Top 100 Movies | Top 100 Internet Videos | Top 100 Video Games. What’s next you ask? How about TV Shows?

That’s right, another decade of our youth lost to the boob tube. We could’ve run a marathon, we could’ve started our own business, we could’ve joined the Peace Corps. But we didn’t. Instead we spent hours (upon hours upon hours) parked in front of our television set zoned out like crackheads. There ain’t no shame in our game—in fact, we’re proud to share our extensive knowledge of the idiot box with our totally comprehensive guide to the 100 Best TV Shows of the decade. Grab a drink, your favorite snack, and of course the remote…

Believe it or not, Steven Seagal has been down with the police for almost 20 years, and we’re not talking about the cop he played in one of our favorite action movies either. Yeah, this guy has been working the night shift at the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and locking up criminals from the Greater New Orleans area for the past two decades. The biggest surprise is that someone is just now making a Cops-style reality show about it. Better late than never. After watching this trailer, we’ll probably see what it’s about when Steven Seagal: Lawman debuts this Fall.

Ever wonder what it's like to be held against your will in a foreign land? Peep the new National Geographic Channel show.

Unless you’re a fan of Dog Whisperer (we see you, Cesar!), you probably don’t even know that the National Geographic Channel exists. It’s time to get familiar. Our latest idiot-box obsession is NGC’s awesome original show, Locked Up Abroad, which airs Monday nights at 9 p.m…

Each hourlong episode is a dramatic reenactment of a traveler’s worst nightmare'being detained in an unfamiliar country. Think Midnight Express, Brokedown Palace, and Return to Paradise, with a healthy dose of “white-people-trapped-in-Third-World-country,” Heart of Darkness paranoia. It’s fucking intense and enthralling. On a less capable network, the show could be corny, but since NGC has the connects to film in the actual countries, it feels fresh. And as a bonus, some of the episodes feature eye candy, like the lovely lady in the “Bangladesh” episode. See a clip of her nightmare in action below.

The Family Guy creator's upcoming "Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy" sounds very similar to a 2003 comic strip. See for yourself.

Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane has been Fox’s golden boy ever since execs realized that drunk college kids love lowest-common-denominator humor. Now, he’s taking on the internet in a huge deal to develop “Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy,” a web series that will deliver his core audience (read: mouth-breathing young men) to online advertisers via Google. Which is all well and good, except there’s something familiar about the show’s title and concept.

See, back in 2003, cartoonists Kelly Shane and Woody Compton released a New Yorker-style comic strip titled…wait for it…“Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy.” Coincidence? Perhaps. But in an interview, MacFarlane describes “Cavalcade” as “animated versions of the one-frame cartoons you might see in The New Yorker, only edgier.” You’d think a guy who created two identical television shows just by changing a dog into an alien would be a little more sensitive to the idea of originality. Read the 2003 comic strips below and judge for yourself.
From L-R Annalynne Mccord, Shenae Grimes, Jessica Stroup

We'd be fronting if we said there wasn't a span growing up when we didn't tune into Beverley Hills 90210. Before Kelly was getting trapped in fires and Brenda re-located, the show served as a solid eye-candy fest for adolescent males.

Now, the CW is prepping a spin-off series as part of their fall 2008 line-up, with a fresh-faced new cast. After seeing the first preview of the show, we got to wondering if the new batch of ladies would be able to compete with the O.G trifecta of Kelly Taylor, Brenda Walsh and Donna Martin. Check out the matchups (including a bonus mom vs. mom showdown) after the jump and vote.
