We’ve been from trade show after trade show to keep you up-to-date on all things Complex, but recently we got a little playful with it. This week, NYC hosted Toy Fair 2010, a event dedicated to showcasing the newest toys and games (who said they were just for kids?) that are available for purchase. Yeah, it’s a holiday weekend, and for you, that prolly means pool parties on the reg, frozen drinks on the reg, and way too much meat in your mouth (what else is new?). For us, though, Labor Day means a dark specter on the horizon: our seven-year-old nephew Carl, a snot-nosed, shit-smelling little rat-faced rat fink who makes Latarian Milton look like Annie and insists on bringing his little snot-nosed, shit-smelling schnauzer Puddles to every family get-together.

As you may have gathered, we’re not real fond of our brother’s demon spawn. Maybe you have a younger relative just like Carl. So, what can you do? You can’t smack him around in front of the family, and whenever you get him loaded on Jello shots and throw him in the pool, everyone gets mad at you. Well, it’s not perfect, but last year we stumbled on a good recourse—Nerf guns. That’s right, keep pegging the little fucker with foam darts, and eventually he’ll fall the fuck back. A-Trak has been making moves lately, taking his start as Kanye’s awkward wonder-kid DJ and parlaying it into time in the spotlight as emerging style icon, putting Cudi on, and turning Fool’s Gold from a party series to a note-worthy record label. ‘Recycled Toy Furniture’ Makes For Playful Art

These days, it’s cool to ‘go green,’ but more important than that, it’s still cool to be cool. With both those in mind, designer/architect Greg Lynn debuted his ‘Recycled Toy Furniture’ at the Venice Architecture Biennale last week.

Lynn took home the Golden Lion for Best Installation Project and his designs'simple coffee tables that use welded children’s toys for their bases'seem like a much cooler use of any extra kids’ playthings that are laying around'either yours or that brat’s who lives down the street. Tropic Thunder’s Bobble Head Brigade

To help get buzz going on Tropic Thunder, which comes out next Friday, Dreamworks has been dropping clips from the new film as well as seeding out a slew of promotional materials.

Back To The Future’s Hover Board Hits eBay

A small piece of your childhood probably died when you realized that the hover board Marty McFly jacked from a little girl in 1989’s Back To The Future II was actually a piece of plastic held up with harnesses and cranes. Even 20 years later, levitation technology still isn’t available. What the fuck?

Luckily, if you’re a McFly fan who has at least $30,000 taking up space in the trust fund, you can now own the actual hover board used in the movie. It won’t hover, but a prop like this will certainly make your fantasy that much more vivid. The pink Mattel toy will be open to bidders on eBay this Friday (August 1), so lace up your Hyperdunks and get ready to bid HERE. KAWS JJP Flips Tokyo Police Mascot

When it comes to adding the “extra” to ordinary objects, our boy KAWS has the game on lock. All dude needs to do is slap his trademark X’s on something'hoodies, socks, poncho’s, whatever'and people go ape shit (no pun intended). And that’s exactly what happened when rumors of the his JJP figurine hit the ‘net earlier this week.

Scheduled to be released tomorrow on his website kawsone.com, KAWS’s newest vinyl figure is based on the Tokyo Metropolitan Police’s official mascot named “Pi-Pokun” and will come in either yellow or black. If they sell out on his site before you get a chance to click over there (they will), don’t fret'they’re going on sale Saturday at his Original Fake store in Tokyo. Nookanooka Watch Mascot Keeps Time

Last year in the pages of Complex, Kanye West gave the co-sign to forward-thinking watch brand Nooka by rocking one of their bright orange creations in his “Beatdowns” portrait. Well now the company is giving watch junkies like 'Ye a spot to store their collection with the release of their vinyl mascot Nookanooka.

Started by designer Matthew Waldman in 1999, Nooka is known for their futuristic watches that use linear and graphic representations of time, rather than the traditional clock or number-based designs. The Nookanooka is currently only available in black for $70, but it will be released in new colors like glow-in-the-dark in the coming months. See all the colors (sans watches) after the jump.

Sket One Unveils Board Game Dunnys

Tonight, graf artist/designer Sket One is revealing a new set of Dunnys and Munnys inspired by 8 classic board games, an expansion on his original Operation Munny. Gary Taxali’s “Oh No” Toys Will Fix Your Face

The cartoon creations of artist/illustrator Gary Taxali already look like they were made to jump out of the canvas and into your hands. In fact, they’ve been doing just that since 2005 when the Canadian made his first vinyl figure, The Original Toy Monkey. On May 8th, he will release two more characters “Oh No” and “Oh Oh” from his classic “Oh No!” piece at the Magic Pony Gallery in Toronto. Batman And Joker Get The Be@rbrick Treatment

Next month, Japanese designer toymakers Medicom will be releasing these brand spankin’ new Batman and Joker Be@rbricks. Although The Dark Knight is about to hit theaters on July 18th, these new figures are actually a throwback to the 1960s blue-suitted Bat from the light-hearted Adam West TV show. God Save The Sex Pistols Kubrick Toys

Back in 2006, Japanese toy manufacturer Medicom released their first set of Kubrick figures modeled after iconic '70s punk rock band Sex Pistols. Two years later, they’re back with a new and improved series that features all four members in new outfits. For some reason, Paul Cook seems to look pretty much the same as in the original toys, so we’re assuming that must be the only outfit that the real life drummer ever wore. The set supposedly goes on sale at Gentle Giant this week for around $40. See more shots after the jump.

All your favorite Cartoon Network characters from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, Frisky Dingo, The Venture Bros., Metalocalypse, Robot Chicken, Squidbillies, Moral Orel and Assy McGee are all represented in vinyl form. Watchmen’s Toy Story Continues

Now that the The Watchmen film is knee-deep in production, the rest of the franchise is finally getting its just due. Today, EW premiered the first pictures of the new action figures for Night Owl and Rorschach, which are just part of the set that’s being debuted at this weekend’s New York Comic Con. Nerds might remember back in 2001, when an original line of Watchmen toys were abandoned after creators Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons had a dispute with DC. Gary Baseman Has A Hot Cha Cha Cha Toy

Complex flip page designer and creator of Disney’s Teacher’s Pet cartoon Gary Baseman has turned his popular Hot Cha Cha Cha work of art into a vinyl toy. Aren’t vinyl toys art in their own right? That actually would make this limited piece (500 only) extra special. Out of the 500, the first 50 are signed by Baseman, available on his website. Hard Sell’s Juke-Bot Is HUGE

Bigshot Toy Works just sent over a preview of one of their new creations, the Juke-Bot. This seven-foot tall monster was created especially for DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist to take along on their international “Hard-Sell” tour. It was modeled after original poster art created by Paul Insect, and it was sculpted into its vinyl incarnation by Scott Wettershneider.

They haven’t revealed the full Bot yet, but check out the original poster art, the juke-bot on tour and another detail shot of the toy after the jump…

LEGOs Need Guns Too

The constitution protects your right to bear arms, but what about your LEGOs? Who’s gonna protect them when the revolution comes, hm?

In response to the LEGO company’s overwhelming lack of firepower, custom toy designer Brick Arms has created an amazing line of deadly weapons for your figurines. Their products'which include everything from WWII guns to James Bond spy pistols to suitcase uzis' are created using the same plastic as LEGOs and are designed to fit right into the hands of the characters. They even produce some custom “minifigs” to go along with the guns, which include characters modeled after terrorists, German soldiers and spies. Check out more pictures after the jump…

The carbon fiber sneaker also comes with a Gilbert figurine'further solidifying the Wizard's affection for childish objects.
